One of the most exciting parts of the build up to the birth of the new arrival has to the baby shower, you know its the last time to get all your friends together for an afternoon of fun and laughter not to forget the cake eating! Although the preparations are a little exhausting if you do it with the help of your closets girlfriends its not so pressured.
I decided on something slightly unconventional…a family baby shower! Because I’m so late in my pregnancy 35 weeks I didn’t fancy my other half and my daughter being far away and actually I wanted to share this lovely day with them both. It also meant Glenn could be there and have some relaxation time and my friends could bring their partners and kids. Yes, I know…it completely defeats the object of a baby shower. It should be all about me and the new arrival but I love sharing special days with the family too.
I love putting together a party, the cake the decorations and organising the food. I have to admit I had lots of help preparing the food this time I’m getting far too heavy to stand on my poor little ankles for too long. Gabriella and her friends had too much fun with the huge balloons and just loved the pink ombré layer cake with sparkles!
I’m sure by the photos you’ll not be able to tell what sex baby I’m having now!
